LET'S WALK OUR TALK!

The Greenway Guardians would like to invite you to join us for the annual Great Willamette Cleanup on Saturday, October 5th, 2019.

Willamette Riverkeeper, a wonderful organization that has helped our efforts on the Greenway, sponsors this event each autumn. We will meet at 9:30 am at the Greenway/VRC Bike Bridge in Maurie Jacobs Park. After hearing a brief safety talk by the city Parks Dept. and picking up equipment, we will walk north along the river and bike path collecting garbage from Maurie Jacobs Park to Hillcrest Drive, a one mile stretch. This annual event from 10am–1 pm is a terrific community project that prevents tons of garbage entering the river during high seasonal flows. Come join the fun and help our precious Willamette River!

What: Willamette River Greenway cleanup

When: Saturday, October 5th, 9:30am–1pm. Come for all or just an hour!
