Now is the time for ALL OF OUR COMMUNITY to COME TO THE AID of the WILLAMETTE RIVER GREENWAY!

Updated: Jan 17, 2019

Please plan to bear witness and show community support for the appeal by attending the hearing: Wednesday, September 5, at 6 pm in Harris Hall.

As the clock ticks down to Wednesday, September 5th, when the Eugene Planning Commission hears the appeal on the Lombard Apartment proposal by Evergreen Housing Development Group, it is time for us all to act. Here are two simple and effective ways:

Option #1 Attend the Hearing at 6pm on Wednesday, September 5 in Harris Hall downtown, and present your own testimony. Recommend that the Planning Commission reverse the Hearings Official's decision and deny the application for the Lombard Apartments.

Option #2 Send the following quick and easy message to the Eugene Planning Commission via Rodney Bohner, city planner, before noon on Wednesday. Use the button below to send an email in just a couple clicks, or compose one in your own words. You can also copy and paste the below text and send to rodney.t.bohner@ci.eugene.or.us:

Dear Eugene Planning Commissioners,

I urge you to reverse the Hearings Official's decision on the proposed Lombard Apartments. Based upon Eugene Planning staff report issued on August 30, 2018, Appeal Issue #1: "The Hearings Official erred in finding that the Willamette River Greenway approval criteria do not apply to the subject application." Therefore, the application should be denied.

Thank you for your consideration of this request to protect our precious Willamette River Greenway.
